What Clavid keeps about you, why, who helps us run it, and how to get it changed or deleted.

Who we are

Clavid is the video studio at clavid.ai. In this policy "we" means the team that runs Clavid, and we decide how your data is used. You can reach us at hello@clavid.ai.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address, your name, and the workspaces you belong to with your role in each.
  • Your sign-ins: when you signed in, and the IP address and browser of each signed-in device, so you can see and sign out your devices and so we can stop abuse.
  • Your work: the videos, templates and styles you or Claude make, their edit history, the files you upload, and the videos you export.
  • Usage: how many minutes you export and how much storage you use, so we can apply the beta limits.
  • Changes to workspaces: who invited, removed or changed the role of whom, so workspace owners can see what happened.
  • Claude connections: when you connect Claude, a record of that connection and what you allowed it to do.

Why we use it

  • To run the service you asked for: your account, your videos, your exports and the workspaces you share. This is needed to keep our agreement with you.
  • To keep the service safe and working: stopping abuse, fixing faults and applying the beta limits. This is our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
  • To send you emails you need: sign-in links, invitations and notices about changes to these terms or this policy.
  • Where the law asks for your consent, we ask first, and you can take it back at any time.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking tools. The only cookie we set keeps you signed in.
  • We do not train AI models on your videos or files.

Claude and Anthropic

Clavid is an independent product. It is not made by Anthropic. When you connect Claude, Claude can read and change your videos only through the permissions you approve, and you can disconnect it at any time.

What you type to Claude, and what Claude reads back from us while helping you, is handled by Anthropic under its own terms and privacy policy.

Who helps us run it

  • Cloudflare runs our servers, stores your files and exports, and sends our emails.
  • Neon stores our database.
  • PostHog receives error reports and how the studio is used, so we can fix problems and improve it.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Each of them only handles your data to provide their service to us.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored and processed by the providers above, mainly in the United States. When data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses that these providers offer.

How we protect it

  • Everything travels over encrypted connections, and stored files are encrypted by our storage provider.
  • Each workspace can only reach its own files, and links to your videos expire.
  • Only the people who run the service can reach the systems behind it, and only to keep it working.

No service is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that puts your data at risk, we tell you and the authorities the law requires us to tell.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your work while your account is open. Files you delete are removed from our storage straight away, and a device's sign-in record is removed when you sign that device out.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, your personal workspace and everything in it. Shared workspaces you own need a new owner or are deleted with your account.

Your choices and rights

  • See and change your name, and sign out any device, on your Account page.
  • Delete any file on your Media page.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it or your account, or to stop or limit how we use it, by emailing hello@clavid.ai. We answer within 30 days and never charge for it.
  • If you live in the UK, the European Economic Area or a US state with a privacy law, these are your rights under that law too, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Clavid is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly keep data about them. If you think a child has an account, email hello@clavid.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we keep or who helps us, we update this page and its date. For a change that matters, we also email you before it takes effect.
